| Hello and welcome to my website! My name is Nancy. I was born in 1960 and like so many others from my generation, grew up playing with Mattel Liddle Kiddles during their production from 1965-1971. They were my absolute favorite toy of all time and even though I wasn't fortunate enough to keep any from my childhood, I never forgot them. In December of 1997, I came across a Liddle Kiddles website and was amazed to discover you could still purchase them! Although not on the shelves of your local store, I soon found out they were readily available through eBay and from other Kiddle kollectors. My quest for rekollecting Kiddles began at that moment and now 10 years later, I have over 150 Kiddles in my personal kollection. |
| A Liddle About Me . . . |
| Some of the Kiddles I've bought through the years have been in severely troubled and challenged condition. Thus, I embarked on a journey of learning how to properly and safely care for and restore them. Many of the Kiddles in my own kollection are ones that I have been able to reconstruct due to restoration techniques and by buying bits and pieces of their outfits and accessories to make complete sets. However, some Kiddles are beyond restoration and it is these Kiddles that I use for creations (or rather, kreations). There is a tremendous amount of joy that comes from seeing a Kiddle that could have easily been cast aside, attain a new status through the wonders of kreating, and then take a special place in a Kiddle display. Each of my kreations are kreated with the utmost of care and attention is given to even small details. I use the finest of materials and supplies for all aspects of each kreation or restoration--cleaning, repairing, rerooting, painting, and designing. Many of my kreations are OOAK (one of a kind) designs, which means that there will never be another one of that particular kreation available for sale. Others have been intentionally designed as Limited Editions and even though there may be more than one kreated, each has their own unique attributes and charm, which still gives them a OOAK quality. |
